Our Beginnings: “Come, and see”

He said: "Come, and you will See"

"Come, and you will See" was the starting point for us.
"Come, and you will See" was to become our aspiration for others (see Inspired To Trust )
Finally "Come, and you will See" has formed into an active mission without our prior intent, or knowledge, or desire. An act that we have willingly and enthusiastically grasped, and given our hands and head and heart to. For us a path that has been a remarkable and rapid journey here.
(see Inspired To Create)

The first disciples

In those days John the Baptist was baptising at the river Jordan. On one such a day John, and two of his disciples with him, saw Jesus pass by. The two disciples were drawn, and letting themselves being drawn without being asked or questioning, they departed from John and went after Jesus as He continued on his way.

Jesus turned around and saw the two following him, and He asked:
"What are you looking for?"
They said to him: "Rabbi, (which means "teacher"), where are you staying?"
Jesus said:
“Come, and you will See”
Jn 1:38, ESV

Slingshot to a New World

But these (possibly) first two disciples, Andrew and John, were clueless. As would you or I have been. Clueless that Christ's playful Truth: "Come, and you will See", would slingshot them into a new world; as well as open their hearts and minds to a new life for them then and also for 2.5 billion Christian lives two millennia away in our Digital Age. All of it unfathomable to John and Andrew. So much of it still remains unfathomable to us. However, the core Truths are in the teachings and actions of Christ, and if we want to, we can see the same Truths are clearly visible today. (see Christ on "The eye and ear of the heart")

Our Mission to come and see

Our far far more modest "Come, and you will See" , has become our  mission: to bring a little Good and Truth to your life and so into the world.
To bring Christians, "Come, and you will See" the places where the Holy Spirit was "staying".
"Come, and you will See"  where the Apostles were inexplicably led to go, willingly went, and stayed. All but one gave their lives, under pain and torture, to this noblest of causes.
And "Come, and you will See"  where The Spirit saw to it.  As a result of their incredible acts, His help is an unmistakable certainty.  As instructed by Christ, the Apostles worked to ensure The Word travels "...to the ends of the Earth"(Acts 1:8).  They battled through storms,  persecution, and hate; yet Love and Hope prevailed as did their unyielding will. To this day now: "...Faith, Hope and Love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is Love." (Cor:13:8:18)

Our digital age

In contrast, in our digital age - like no age before - there exists a real need for more truth and clarity. More hope and certainty. While daily in our digital age press, TV, and social media we see truth and good are under siege from lies and evil, money and power. Consequently, it is not uncommon to see mankind's greatest ever knowledge yet greatest falsity; greatest ever achievements yet greatest uncertainty, side by side.

Accessible for ordinary people

Yet also existing in our digital age are the tools for ordinary people to access  truth and clarity in their own homes. From books and video easily ordered online, or read online on screens, tablets and phones. Tools like Google, websites, social media... give access to yet another modern-day phenomena for almost everyone: travel. And here for us this means to travel as a "Fellowship", not as mere tourists but as "Mere Christians"(C.S.Lewis) to "Come, and see"  the places of Christ, Paul, Peter, and Thomas. Also to "come and see" that in all these places of super-human achievement, was the unmistakable presence of the The Holy Spirit - "The Helper" that Christ promised He would send (John 15:26,14:26,16:7)

Fellowship is our name for our small group tours travelling in a friendly fellowship with a common aim and a respect for each others' mission (see Fellowship means this)

To Be Present, in The Word

Christ not only talked. He was seen and lived amongst the ordinary people. Christ, The One who did, went, helped, changed, stayed, fed, healed, loved and finally remained in the hearts and minds of ordinary people.

To Be Present, in place

To physically see the places of Christ, Paul, Peter, and Thomas is our simple aim.
A deeper aim is that by physically spending a little time there, your prior reading, learning, life-experience, and belief has the chance to be given more clarity. Because simply being immersed by place and history, and reflecting on their monumental task and super-human success was only possible with the ever-presence of The Holy Spirit.

To Be Present, in Mindful Awareness

Such beautiful moments of reflection are there to become your moments of deep awareness. For it is our intention not for you just to see outwardly with your eyes. But that you have the opportunity to see inwardly with your "inner eyes". Because it is only your mind's eye and the eye of the heart, that can truly appreciate and bring a clarity to you, of the true nature of the people and places, and the magnitude of the events that took place 2000 years ago.

Unmissable truth

Ultimately our intention is for your consciousness - your heart's eyes, ears, feelings, thought, awareness - to suspend uncertainty by being in a place and while being apprehended by the sheer scale of the Apostles "mission impossible". Obtaining a deep apprehension that it could not have been made possible by man alone. And in that impossibility lays the unmissable Truth that help was at hand: guiding, moving, saving, instructing, strengthening.
This help at hand is written about. And our beautiful human imagination can imagine it happening but you will know from your own experience that there is no substitute for "being" in a place: concert or play or movie; a beautiful mountain or seaside or city; with favourite people and loved ones; or even being part of special times of the year like Christmas.
"Come, and you will See" said Christ to His disciples.
Two millennia later we say: "Come, and you will See" to His followers who want to experience the physical and spiritual connection that can come from being in the places of Christ, Paul, Peter, and Thomas
