What's in a name?
Everything!
Everything can be in a name. Our name is The Word Travels.
Our name contains our mission: We are created to serve:
"a despairing world as messengers of Hope" (God of Hope - Donald Coggan)
through our helping people "Come and See" and them allowing The Word to travel deeper into their hearts
Our name contains its cause: both Christ and His teachings. The true meaning of The Word and His words, and them becoming a part of our way of life - not an intermittent ritual, and not dogma, not rote - but in our normal everyday life.
Our name contains its purpose: travel is a modern opportunity opened to the masses. So using this gift of our times, we take you in a spiritual, not touristy, journey, on our spiritually minded "Fellowship Tours" to the places of The Holy Spirit
The Word
1. The Word as "In the beginning was The Word" - The Son of God: "this is my beloved son; in whom I am well pleased"
2. The Word as in The Christ who was born and lived amongst mankind, not as a God but as The Son of Man.
3. The word as in His teachings, parables, examples, miracles, values, way of life, AND Love taught by Christ
4. The word as in the single word Christ repeated over and over to Mankind: Love; "Love one another"; "As I have loved you". This is the true way of everyday life that was the foundation of His Teaching
The Travel
5. Travels as in how the word of Christ has in an amazing journey travelled to the four corners of the Earth, as instructed by
Christ and made possible and guided forward by the presence of The Holy Spirit
6. Travels as in how the word of Christ continues to travel today to the corners of our globe
7. Travels as it is our mission to help those who follow Christ in their own travels: outwardly to the places of The Spirit;
and inwardly into their hearts & minds & everyday way life
